You've reached the home page of Booger, a Domestic Shorthair mixed-breed cat belonging to Julie Ziring. Booger, or Big Booger as he is sometimes called, is a large, shy, all-white male cat with expressive eyes. We often call him a large white, just like the movie pig, Babe. Here are his vital statistics:
Height: | 12 in. |
Length: | 32 in. |
Weight: | 15 lbs. |
Fur color: | white |
Eye color: | gold |
Birth date: | 6/15/88 |
Marital status: | fixed |
Booger is really a beautiful cat.
Here is a picture of him, this
was taken in 1993.
If you came to visit Booger, he would run away. He is afraid of strangers, new places, and unknown things. This is because he has been completely deaf since birth. Congenital deafness is a common problem among all-white cats. He doesn't let his deafness interfere with letting those around him enjoy their hearing - he can meow, growl, yowl, and hiss as well as any cat (albeit not quite as consistently).
Ever since kittenhood, Booger has loved to eat. He enjoys cat food of all kinds, and a few kinds of human food. Years ago, when Booger lived with two other cats, he would often consume their food as well as his own. Nowadays, Booger shares the house with Kumari, a much smaller pure-bred cat, and he often snarfs down her food before she can! Booger also has an apparant dislike of any physical activity that does not involve snarfing food.
For Internet surfers who share his enjoyment of feline fare, Booger has collected some links to companies that make some of his favorites. Some of these firms are new to the web, so...
Booger wanted to include Purina and Kal-Kan companies on this list, but their home pages are access-protected!
Booger's proudest accomplishment is getting his picture into the 365 Cats A Year calendar twice. He got his picture into the 1992 calendar on October 31 (for Halloween), and his picture appears in the 1996 on November 3. These calendars are published by Workman Publishing.
Booger is named after a character in the 1984 movie Revenge of the Nerds. (The actor who played the character "Booger" in the movie later appeared on the television show "Moonlighting" as Herbert Viola. He was the boyfriend of Agnes DePesto, which is the name of a cat Booger once lived with 88-92.)
Booger is pretty finicky.

Booger is ashamed to live in the same town as Linda Tripp. He would hiss at her if he saw her (and if he wasn't sleeping at the time).
Around people he knows, Booger is basically a good-natured, friendly cat. Around other cats he is a real booger!
