> My name is Kristen and I am 31 years old. My family and I have been dealing with my Mother's Illnesses, for as long as I can remember. We have tried hundreds(literaly)of times to get my Mom the help she needs, but in the end, the people that promise to help (MA Court Systems)only end up enabling her to get sicker. I guess my Main Question, is why will Mass Health (state funded insurance)pay to provide her with her prescription medication, without question, but refuses to pay for any long term treatment center. She did not become an addict overnight and she sure as hell, won't be healed overnight. Let me give you a quick example of the "help" the courts gave my mom. I was 15 years old and my Mom, attempted suicide, by overdose, with my Dad's seizure medication. When the ambulance and police showed up I finally blurted out all of my families "secrets." The Police ended up,and I forget why or how, summonsing My Mom and Dad to Court, and ordered them into Counseling. The Doctor, who they were ordered to see, is now serving time in Jail for Fraud in a MA Facility. Dr. Skodnek, tried also to take the system again, by showing up to his Court Appearences, in a half shaved head, and what not, claiming Insanity. There is a 15-20 year story to tell and I'd love somebody to finally listen. I, know that without the proper intervention, My Siblings and I will end up on the front page of the Boston Globe or Boston Herald crying because my Mom, finally killed herself, and took my Dad with her. I look forward to hearing from ANYONE, who thinks they can help. > Kristen
