As a son of a manic depressive father and having worked in the field of mental health for five years, I found Mr. Manning's novel to be fresh, honest and insightful...and downright entertaining! The field of mental health is not something to be feared or considered "taboo", but rather to be greater understood and treated with opennes, dignity and empathy. |
