GENERAL:
Neptune Aviation Services is an aerial firefighting company with headquarters in Missoula, Montana. Base operations are conducted out of both Missoula and Alamogordo, New Mexico. The company's primary client is the United States Department of Agriculture-Forest Service (USDA-FS). Neptune's corporate strategy is to maintain its position as a top USDA-FS contracted airtanker company, while continuing to be a positive factor in the lives of its employees and in the communities in which business is conducted. Programs to support this strategy include continuing efforts to improve service quality through the maintenance and operation of quality aircraft by quality employees, continued emphasis toward increased safety in every aspect of its operation, managing the best training program in the airtanker business, and maintaining the highest availability rates in the industry. Neptune's long range goals include maximization of the long term financial performance of the corporation to enable future growth and diversification. Toward this end, all profits have been and will continue to be put back into the company for capital growth and expansion.
COMPANY OPERATIONS:
In addition to contracting with the federal government for airtanker contracts, Neptune operates a complete FAA approved maintenance repair facility at both Missoula and Alamogordo. Each facility includes heavy airframe remanufacture, avionics repair, and fully operational machine shops. The FAA repair facility at Missoula is the largest in Montana. The aircraft are inspected using the company's FAA approved airworthiness inspection program. Recently, the company was awarded the use of its own Minimum Equipment List, enhancing the safety of its fleet.
