FOUNDED:
1958 by Arnold Kolb. The company was sold to Neptune Aviation Services, Inc. in 1993.

GENERAL:
Arnold Kolb was a pillar in the aerial firefighting community and remains a sustaining member of the Aerial Firefighting Industry Association.

FLEET:
Black Hills Aviation operated Boeing B-17s from 1964-1980. Lockheed P-2V Neptunes were purchased in 1974. The tank system was redesigned and improved on the Neptune in 1978.

PERSONNEL SPECIFICS:
Arnold Kolb has been flying for fifty one years and has more than 24,500 flight hours. He continues to use his flight experience shuttling blind children to a school for the vision impaired for the state of New Mexico.
