In 1948 by Jack and Dick Yentzer. The current stockholders include: Dan Hawkins, Gene Powers, Robert Eisele and Christopher Eisele.

GENERAL:
Bighorn Airways, Inc. is dedicated to providing professional general aviation services and is currently Wyoming's largest and most complete air charter service.

COMPANY OPERATION:
Bighorn Airways, Inc. is based in Sheridan, Wyoming with a satellite charter operation in Casper, Wyoming. The current fleet of 20 aircraft is used to provide passenger charter, cargo charter, helicopter services, aircraft rental, flight instruction, aerial application services, and smokejumper aircraft to both the USDA-Forest Service and USDI-BLM. As a Fixed Base Operator in Sheridan, the company provides EXXON branded aviation fuels, general aviation ground support services and aircraft maintenance.

IMPROVEMENTS/INNOVATIONS:
Bighorn Airways, Inc. has converted two CASA 212-200 and two Dornier 228-202 aircraft into smokejumper platforms and has two additional Dornier 228-202 aircraft in the production stages as smokejumper aircraft platforms.

PERSONNEL SPECIFICS:
Bob Eisele, the company's President and General Manager, has flown more than 24,000 hours in his 40 years of commercial aviation. He is an Airline Transport Pilot and an instructor in fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and gliders. Eisele has flown airtankers, and for the past 15 years, has been a carded smokejumper pilot for the USDA-Forest Service and USDI-BLM. His Type Ratings include: PB-4Y-2, C-119, B-18, L-18, Boeing C-97, CASA 212, and Dornier 228.
